1. Who we are
Auto Air Communications Limited is a mobile auto electrician based at 191 Leigh Road, Eastleigh, Hampshire SO50 9DW. We are registered in England and Wales, company number 11182089, and our registered office is 3 Kinsbourne Close, Southampton SO19 6HD. You can call us on 023 8017 9244. In these terms, "we" and "us" means Auto Air Communications Limited and "you" means the customer booking the work.
2. When these terms apply
These terms apply when you book us to supply or fit equipment, or to carry out work on your vehicle. That includes vehicle security, cameras, audio and screen upgrades, remapping and diagnostics. Nothing in them affects your statutory rights as a consumer.
3. Quotes and prices
We base each quote on what you tell us about the vehicle and the job. If we find something that changes the work or the price, such as a different specification or an existing fault, we'll tell you and ask before going ahead.
Prices on this website can change, and the price that applies is the one we confirm when you book. Prices we quote to private customers include any VAT that applies. Some products, such as trackers, may also have a separate monitoring subscription with the provider, which we'll explain before you book.
Our price match guarantee has its own terms, which are set out on that page.
4. Fitting at your home or workplace
We're a mobile service, so please make sure we can safely and legally park beside the vehicle and work on it, and that we have the keys and any codes we need. We can't fit equipment where it would be unsafe to work, or where the vehicle isn't suitable. If that happens we'll talk to you about the options, which may include rearranging.
Fitting times are estimates. We'll do our best to arrive when we said and will tell you if we're running late.
5. Payment
Payment is due when the work is finished, unless we've agreed something different with you when you book. 0% finance is available on orders over £500, subject to status. Any finance is a separate agreement between you and the finance provider.
6. Cancelling or changing a booking
Please give us as much notice as you can if you need to change or cancel, so we can offer the slot to someone else.
If you agreed the booking away from business premises, or at a distance such as by phone or online, you normally have the right to cancel within 14 days of the agreement without giving a reason. To cancel, call us on 023 8017 9244 or write to the address above.
If you ask us to start the work within those 14 days and then cancel, you may have to pay for what we've already done. Once the work is fully finished at your request you can no longer cancel under this right. Goods made or ordered to your specific requirements may also not be returnable. This doesn't affect your rights if something is faulty.
7. Equipment and warranties
Equipment we supply comes with the manufacturer's warranty, and the length varies by product. We'll tell you what applies when you book. Under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, goods must be of satisfactory quality, fit for purpose and as described, and our work must be carried out with reasonable care and skill.
If you think something is wrong with the equipment or the fitting, call us as soon as you can and we'll look into it. A manufacturer's warranty may not cover damage caused by misuse, accidents, or changes made by someone else.
8. Your vehicle
We check compatibility as carefully as we can, but older or modified vehicles, and existing electrical faults, can affect the work. Please tell us about anything you know of before we start. We'll tell you if we find a fault, and we can't be responsible for faults that were there before we started.
Some work is a modification that you should tell your insurer about, including ECU remapping. Fitting security equipment doesn't guarantee a change to your premium or that a particular insurer will accept it, so please check with your insurer first if your policy asks for a specific product or category.
Security equipment makes a vehicle harder to steal, but no product can guarantee that a vehicle won't be stolen or broken into.
9. Our liability to you
Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that can't legally be limited, including your rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015.
If we don't keep to these terms, we're responsible for loss or damage you suffer that is a foreseeable result. We aren't responsible for loss or damage that wasn't foreseeable. If you're booking for a business, we aren't liable for loss of profit, loss of business or business interruption.
10. Complaints
If you're unhappy with anything we've done, please call us on 023 8017 9244 or write to the address above and we'll try to put it right.
11. Law and changes to these terms
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and disputes can be heard in the courts of England and Wales. If you live elsewhere in the UK, you may also be able to bring a claim in your local courts. We may update these terms from time to time, and the version that applies is the one in place when you book.
